Dear Black people…
they are watching us… instanter more than perpetuallypattern night, america made a historical decision. a decisiveness that will be remembered forever, talked about daily and will undoubtedly end up being one of the multitudinous “where were you when it happened” moments of our period.playing resistance 2 with cnn on the double in picture in the lower right cornerlast night i witnessed america elect the first african american president. and surprisingly it only took 44 tries and not the 277 that i anticipated. last night i witnessed the next president redeem one of the anybody of the most moving speeches ive continuously heard. but as the camera panned around the crowd, zooming in on faces, i couldnt stop but make that haunting feeling. that discouraging feeling that we will indeed…fuck this up.obama’s message was clear. but across the country i just imagined this message truly going in one ear and out the other. yes we can [as americans] became yes we can [as african americans] in the eyes of multitudinous people. so heres my message:dont be stupidwe all know that the loud minority can easily represent the silent the greater part in the world we live in. its solely going to take 2 (or 3) of you walking into dennys demanding employ or else you’ll “call obama” for the purpose all of us to be labeled as arrogant.it’ll only bring about 5 of you saying you prerequisite the whitehouse to be painted black (or a shade of brown) in place of all of us to be labeled as silly.it’ll only take roughly 10 of you to sit on your asses and work less because you think obama’s tax plan is a simple take from the loaded and give to the poor “robin hood” exemplar synopsis.it is nawt.during his term, obama is active to be put under a microscope. his every move analyzed and picked but for. mere trips to the grocery store will be seen as him “not doing his job because he’s too busy buying delicious snacks instead of conclusion bin laden like he promised”. it is our duty as a people to not make it harder for him. it is our duty to not to scream “oh we runnin this shit now” out loud… to anyone… even… especially in the street.in reality: i heard this mould night case my house. at this point im merely asking for you not to caterwaul it anymore is all… entertain?so whenever you bear that urge to fail to exploit such horrendous verbals enclosing, standstill for a flash. for only a second and ask yourself: is this stupid? last will and testament my colleagues think lesser of me if i utter this? will i end up on a cnn blog as ‘this black guy i spoke to on an elevator this morning actually said…’ ? what would obama conceive of? and if the explanation to all of these questions be notable in favor of saying what youre gonna say then say it. but if there’s composed a little lack of faith. even a little… then you stop yourself.dont be stupiddont you dare
